Guided Garden Tour at Pentillie

 

On Thursday 10th, September Pentillie Castle will be hosting a Guided Garden Tour. Visitors will be shown around the Pentillie Estate by a member of the Coryton family who will reveal the history, the secrets and the scandals of Pentillie Castle and Gardens. Visitors will hear and see details of the recent restoration work at the Mausoleum and the hidden vault, tour the gardens and view architect Humphry Repton’s proposed castle remodelling, as well as viewing the landscaped gardens and parklands in one of Repton’s famous red books.

Tickets priced at £16.50 per person for a 2.5 hour guided tour including tea and cake in the castle. B&B is also usually available for those travelling from further afield.

Grease is back with an outdoor screening at Pentillie Castle

 

On Wednesday 16th September Cornwall’s Pentillie Castle, located on the banks of the River Tamar, will be hosting a fantastic evening of outdoor cinema with a screening of the classic film Grease!

Sit back, bring your best singing voice, and dress as fancy as you dare for the much-loved movie which will be screened on the old tennis lawn.

With Gardens open from 6 pm, the film will screen at 8 pm and refreshments will be available. Please bring low-backed seating or a picnic rug and the performance will go ahead in all but the very worst weather! Home-made food and a bar will be available.

Outdoor Screening of Tin set in West Cornwall

 

On Thursday 17th, September Pentillie is delighted to welcome Miracle Theatre’s outdoor cinema screening of ‘Tin’ at 8 pm with the gardens open from 6 pm. Set in West Cornwall, 1895, the story is centred around a once-glorious tin mine, on which the whole town has depended for generations, which is on its last legs.

Made in Cornwall and based on a true story, Miracle Theatre’s highly anticipated feature film stars Jenny Agutter, Dudley Sutton and Ben Luxon alongside Helen Bendell, Ben Dyson, Steve Jacobs, Dean Nolan, and Jason Squibb. Guests are advised to please bring low-backed seating or a picnic rug.
