Sleep in a tree

Award-winning, small (15 rooms), boutique hotel Cottage Lodge, located in the heart of Brockenhurst, New Forest, is offering an overnight stay with dinner in the newly opened Fallen Tree restaurant from £111 per night (£55.50 per person – two sharing).

‘Fallen Tree’ could not be a more appropriate name for Cottage Lodge’s restaurant; the property is not just surrounded by trees, but is also home to beautiful hand-made four- poster beds and other furniture which has been hand-crafted from fallen New Forest Trees.

All the tables in the ‘Fallen Tree’ restaurant were made from a very rare Black Poplar tree and, if the tables are placed in alignment, it is possible to make out the original shape of the tree trunk.

Brockenhurst is the perfect base for exploring the New Forest on foot (or by bike which can be hired in the village) and there are numerous forest walks which can be enjoyed direct from the hotel (free guide notes available).

Other New Forest towns and attractions including the Motor Museum and Palace at Beaulieu, Buckler’s Hard, Lyndhurst and the harbour town of Lymington, are all just a short drive, or a healthy bike ride, away.

The special Stay & Dine offer costs from £55.50 per person between Sundays and Thursdays (supplement for weekends).  This includes a two-course dinner, Bucks Fizz, full-English breakfast (made with New Forest and Hampshire ingredients), reserved parking, late checkout (noon) and tea and cake throughout the stay.
