Tour Operators and Hoteliers insist its business as usual in Greece

With the referendum in Greece set to take place this Sunday, many tour operators and hoteliers wish to point out that it is business as usual, despite the financial insecurity of the Greek Banks.

Greece is heavily reliant on tourism, and travellers who decide to stay away would be committing a disservice to Greece and its people. It is still a wonderful place to visit, the scenery and beaches are fantastic, and the local people very welcoming. Whilst we do not wish to suggest that tourists take advantage of the current situation, there are still places available to book, and as previously said, this would help the Greek and local economies of the resorts.

The Kivo Art & Gourmet Hotel on the Greek island of Skiathos, a budget boutique resort still has availability on selected dates this season, with sea-view rooms from €112 per night and direct flights with Thomas Cook from £196 return. Thomson also offers packages from £482 per person for a seven-night stay, based on two sharing, including return non-stop flights from the UK, car hire and B&B in a sea-view double.
