Cooking lessons in Style

We  remember, cooking lessons (it was called domestic science our days at school), your Mom would have to prepare the ingredients, which you put in your plastic basket and set off on the bus, not forgetting your home-made apron that you had made in another domestic science class(sewing) when you brought your dish home, it was touch and go whether the rest of the family would sample your offering, usually not, well this experience is a million miles from those days.

Kata Rocks, luxury tourism in Thailand.  Sleek and stylish, offering a minimalist vibe, this magnificent hotel is extraordinary and unlike anything else including its incredible panoramic views of the Andaman Sea.

Kata Rocks is delighted to announce the opening of their Thai Cooking School. What sets it apart from others in Phuket is its spectacular instructors, along with its ‘classroom’ and interactive setting.  All classes are private - there are no group lessons with other guests. Perched on a stunning location with sweeping views, cooking classes are held in an oceanfront Sky Villa.

Using only the freshest produce and finest ingredients available guests are taken on a culinary journey, guided by talented, English speaking Thai chefs in the state-of-the art Italian kitchen. The journey begins with selecting one starter, one soup, one main course and dessert from the Kata Rocks Cooking School menu, creating a highly customised and personal learning experience. In the hands-on classes learning is made a fun and memorable experience for guests, and what’s more every session ends with a feast.

Every lesson offers students the opportunity to gain first-hand knowledge in the art of grinding chili pastes, chopping meat and vegetables, stir-frying, deep-frying and stewing food, before tasting the delicious dishes prepared during every class. At the same time, students also gain a valuable insight into the rich and fascinating culinary history and traditions of Thailand.

Cooking classes (priced at £50 per person) should be booked 24-hours in advance, with a minimum of two guests per program. Schedule times offer a choice of either 10am to 12:30pm or from 4pm to 6:30pm inclusive of blue pea non-alcoholic drink, all utensils, ingredients, recipes, certificate, and a Kata Rocks branded apron.

Kata Rocks features 34 one, two, three and four-bed roomed Sky Pool Villas, each with private infinity pools. There is also an oceanfront restaurant, a 35-metre swimming pool with poolside bar, and Infinite Luxury Spa.

Ocean Front Villas start from £380 per night, including B&B.
