Messing About on the River Orwell
An individually restored Dutch sailing barge moored on the tranquil River Orwell in Suffolk.
The Twee Gebroeders Dutch sailing barge is located on the River Orwell in the peaceful Suffolk village of Pin Mill. Lovingly restored, the 1897 barge with lavish quarters is a great place for a vacation.
On board this delightful 2 bedroom barge you’ll be amazed by its tastefully quaint yet nautical design. The walls are decorated with white wood and designer fabrics. You can choose to dine inside, or head out to the cockpit to dine al fresco on the riverside.
The two bedrooms are very comfortable, and include memory foam mattresses and feather pillows. There is one twin room, a double bedroom which has a dreamy quality with the bed fitted just below the decks. The luxurious bathroom ensures that you’ll have all the modern comforts you need for your riverside stay.
The River Orwell is a great location for exploring the local area fun. There are local canoeing and kayaking tours, whilst skippered trips on the barge can give you a chance to enjoy a bit of sailing time, or the opportunity for fishing and crabbing or local speed boat hire for some high-octane fun.
There are local pubs along the river, offering a selection of high quality locally sourced food, or alternatively nearby the town of Ipswich has many bars and restaurants, on arrival you will find a welcome basket full of local produce.
